El Paso was our gateway back into Texas. How welcome it was to see the sign that we had arrived back home. But we were so exhausted from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta we spent the night at an RV park just outside the city limits.

From there we traveled IH 10 on to Fort Stockton. Everything in the desert is green. We must have had some good rain because all the way from El Paso to Fort Stockton the prairie was alive with green. We did run into one road block. The whole interstate was closed as Border Patrol Agents searched cars, trucks and RV's. They waved us through. Guess they knew we were in a hurry to get home. We are headed home!
