Driving to Port Angeles, WA yesterday we saw elk and black tail deer. The weather was rainy and overcast with low-lying clouds covering the tops of the mountains. No sun, perfect weather for vampires. I have begun reading Twighlight so my mind is on the love story of a teenage girl and a charming vampire!
I needed a prescription refilled so I called Medco to expedite the delivery to me at general delivery in Port Angeles. At the time I order the prescription I was not sure where we would be. When I checked at the post office they did not have my order. Of course I was disappointed. So we explored the area. There is a ferry that transports people, cars and RV’s between the Olympic Peninsular and Victoria, BC. We have taken this ferry before and watched as it pulled out wishing we were on board. We drove home in the twighlight and fog.
This morning I called Medco and found they sent the order by UPS to the USPO and that a postal employee had signed for it. I called the USPO and sure enough they have my prescription. So we will have to drive back to Port Angeles. And that is ok. It’s about 70 miles from where we are parked. We love this area and plan to be going to the Sul Doc Hot Springs area and Hurricane Ridge all in that direction.
In reading the Forks Forum newspaper besides the 1000 “Twighlight” fans converging on Forks we read that Saturday the Juan de Fuca Scenic Byway Association is sponsoring the first Great Strait Sale, a 61 mile long yard sale that runs, along Highway 112 on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 am to 2 pm. What great luck for two travelers that love to garage sale!
