The Hood River Fruit Loop was a good place to find fresh fruit. We purchased some Boysenberries and ate them on the way up to Mount Hood and Timberline Lodge. There was still snow on the ground, lots of snow on the mountain.

Besides fruit and berries there are numerous winery’s. The area looks a little like what I imagine Italian wine country would look like. It is beautiful. The house wine at Timberline Lodge is a local variety and we enjoyed the Riesling. It was very wonderful.
