March 31, 2010…Spring in Texas means Bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, and a whole assortment of roadside beauty.  We set out on Easter weekend with our fine traveling companion, Squeek, our cat, to refresh our spirits and renew our memories of all the beauty that is promised yearly.  We left Conroe early this morning headed for the hill county of Texas.  Our plans are to have lunch as Herbert’s Taco Hut, San Marcos, TX with an old friend, Lee Brown.  Jim and I met at the Manchaca Volunteer Fire Department dance one spring night.  I was there with two of my single friends, Karen Boyles and Sandra Neal.  Jim came waltzing by with his friend Lee.  They stopped to ask us to dance and soon joined our table.  We danced and laughed the whole night.  Lee is single again and lonely.  Jim met the woman of his dreams and had been miralously, deliriously, fantastically happy.  All kidding aside Jim and I have found happiness but as with all relationships the struggles have been there.  We have had our share.  We have always been happiest when we are spending time together seeing and learning new things.
